Trans Voices Ignored by the UK Supreme Court – Gender Goals FC Statement

The UK Supreme Court did not speak to a single group representing trans people, however they did speak to several transphobic groups. These are all groups whose sole purpose is to spread trans hatred and oppression. These are all well funded groups backed by powerful people.

We (transsexual, transgender and non-binary people) know who we are. We are of course affected by this. We are scared about what this could mean and about the direction this country is going in. We need protections on our rights and we need access to healthcare.

We need to all stand up and fight, and we need our allies to join us, as there are very few of us. It really beggars belief that we receive so much hatred and attention as less than 1% of the population, it is almost as if we are used as a political football, a scapegoat, for the real societal problems facing the country after years of austerity.

Whatever these hate groups think: You cannot legislate us out of existence
